Design&Sample

At TONGFA Knitwear, we firmly believe in providing our customers with the best service. This commitment is practiced from the very beginning - every step of the design process is carefully taken care of. From CAD to sample approval and beyond, we meticulously track every detail and seek approvals to ensure the highest quality garments for our buyers.Our aim is to provide samples in just 7 days.

Leveraging our extensive experience and expertise, we have crafted a design workstation that surpasses basic patterning and programming. With our proprietary hardware and specialized software, the SHIMA-APEX System outpaces all other design solutions. To execute design concepts quickly, we use APEX for 3D knitting simulations and machine programming. This enables us to offer fast design, production, and in-store services. Our skilled technicians have access to these cutting-edge tools. Our powerful system allows us to achieve the desired look quickly, enhancing the speed and quality of the design process.

1. Sketching & Rendering

The design concept is translated into sketches and renderings to visualize the final product. This stage involves exploring different colorways, stitch patterns, and garment silhouettes.

2. Yarn Selection

Based on the design requirements, the appropriate yarns are carefully chosen. Factors such as fiber content, texture, and color play a crucial role in achieving the desired look and feel of the knitwear.

    *    Cashmere

    *    Wool

    *    Cotton

    *    Viscose

    *    Acrylic

    *    Polyester

    *    Linen

    *    Organic Cotton

    *    Merino Wool

    *    Nylon

    *    Recycled yarn

3.Knitting

Using specialized knitting machines, the chosen yarns are transformed into knitted panels. The gauge and stitch pattern are set according to the design specifications. Skilled technicians program the machines to create the desired patterns and textures.Our electronic knitting machine has the capability to produce clothing with various needle gauges, including3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, and 18 gauges. We are capable of weaving approximately 100 to 2000 pieces of clothing per needle gauge per week, in order to fulfill the needs of our valued customers and clients.

4. Steam & Cutting

After knitting, the panels undergo steaming to relax the fibers and ensure dimensional stability. This process removes any creases and prepares the fabric for cutting. Automated cutting machines are used to precisely cut the panels according to the pattern dimensions.

5. Make-up & Assembly

The cut panels are then assembled and stitched together to create the final garment. Various sewing techniques such as linking, over-locking, and seam-covering are used to achieve high-quality construction. Additional details like buttonholes and buttons are added during this stage.

    Our in-house machines for Linking and Overlocking include:

        *    BTM

        *    LPM

        *    YAMATO

        *    BROTHER

        *    JUKI

6. Quality Checks and Assurance

Quality control is an integral part of the manufacturing process. Throughout the production, rigorous checks are conducted to ensure that the knitwear meets the required standards. Knitted panels are inspected for any defects before and after washing. Garments are checked for proper fit, measurements, and overall quality. Lamp checking is performed to detect any minute flaws that might have been missed.
